| Austin, TX - In spite of rising gas prices, local dealers say buyers in our area are bucking the national trend. They say their sales are not significantly down.Maxwell Dodge, the local Dodge Dealer in North Austin, typically sells four times as many trucks than cars. This month, they are selling still selling trucks 3 to 1.
General Manager, Craig Murphy says “I don’t think you’re ever going to see people steer completely away from trucks, but what they’re going do is look for the best deal they can get on a truck, and they’re going to look for the best fuel economy they can get.
